The Museum wasžemaičio muziejus set up and its statute approved on June 21, 1999, by the order of the Commandant of the Academy, and on October 9 registered at the Ministry of Culture. Its appearance was initiated by the enthusiasts Pranas Jankauskas, COL; the then Deputy Commandant for Military Training, at present – for Academic Training; Juozas Banikonis, retired LTC; instructor; and Vladas Rakutis, senior lecturer. We owe them the first museum exhibits of well over 400 we are having today. The museum exhibits, accumulates and preserves material related to national officer training history. At here one can find a very interesting collection of Cadet Corps formed in Warsaw in the 18th  century  – the first military school training officers for the Polish-Lithuanian State forces, and about concurrent private military schools of noblemen in Nesvyþius and Gardinas. The exhibition of the Military School of Lithuania, having born by the Independence Fights on  January 25, 1919, and its activities up to 1940, is one of the museum’s axis. It provides historical photo pictures, publications, pieces of officer outfit, and visiting cards.
