The museum was foundciurlionioed in 1963. artist and composer Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis (1875-1911) parents’ house, where he lived and worked in 1896 – 1910 year. In two family houses restored in an authentic way of life, the other two buildings – artist’s works, biography and family history of reflective displays.
The museum holds a reading-room, where the accumulated literature on M.K. Čiurlionis, concerts, events, organized gatherings, films. In one of the rooms of the exhibition organized change.

The museum organized in traditional events:

Lithuanian Academy of Music piano student concerts;
National Philharmonic piano music;
“White collars” study week;
Lectures on art;
Lithuanian Musicians Foundation and project Druskininkai Druskininkai summer with MK Čiurlionis “events;
International Festival “Music Without Borders” concert players, music schools kancertai and others.
